A volunteer-run non-profit in Jeffreys Bay that runs a weekly Swop Shop: children bring in sorted recyclables and exchange points for groceries, toiletries, clothes and books. Every Monday around 200 children take part, share a meal and join learning activities, cleaning up the town while meeting basic needs.
Running since 2011 in Pellsrus, Jeffreys Bay. Earlier reports describe over 320 children collecting about 2.8 tonnes of recyclables a week, with a local recycler covering collection. Coordinated by Tanja Lategan with a volunteer team.
