SeedTree Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 July 2026

SeedTree is built by SeedTree Earth. This policy explains what the SeedTree app collects and why. It is written to be read, not to hide anything.

No account, no personal identity

SeedTree has no login. We do not ask for, and do not collect, your name, email address, phone number, or any social sign-in. When you first open the app it generates an anonymous cryptographic key on your device. That key, checked by Apple App Attest on iOS or Google Play Integrity on Android, is the only identifier tied to your activity, and it is not linked to who you are.

What we collect

  • Product barcodes you scan, and the product name or reference returned for them.
  • The reasons you attach to a product when you flag it.
  • Terms documents you choose to decode: the text you paste or a URL you fetch, processed to produce a plain-language summary.
  • Basic technical and performance information needed to run the service and prevent abuse.

All of this is associated only with your anonymous device key, never with a personal identity.

How the camera is used

The camera reads a barcode on your device. The image is not stored and is not transmitted.

Third parties

  • Open Food Facts, to look up product information from a barcode.
  • Supabase, for database and backend hosting operated on SeedTree Earth's behalf.
  • Apple App Attest and Google Play Integrity, to confirm requests come from a genuine app, not to identify you.

We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or trackers, and we never sell your data.

Your control

You can revoke consent and delete your data from within the app at any time. Deletion removes the signals and records tied to your device key.

Data security

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
