Love Land

Plant native seedlings with a handwritten message that feeds them as they grow.

Shine Sunlight to follow their work and see how it grows.

Since 2024

Love Land is a community tree-planting gathering. People come together to plant native seedlings, each with a handwritten message on biodegradable paper placed beneath it. Over time the paper breaks down and the words feed the young plant, so every seedling carries someone's care. For many people it's the first thing they have ever planted.

Love Land was created by artist and celebrant Jessica Raschke with Jo Davidson and Wade Dever. It began at The CORRIDOR Project in Cowra in 2024 and has since planted at Hill Top Community Centre, Yerrinbool Hall, Southern Highlands Memorial Park at Canyonleigh, Osborn House in Bundanoon and Bundanon at Illaroo, all in NSW.

Seedlings native to each place are usually donated by local growers, so hosting a planting is usually free. If you have land that would welcome a Love Land, get in touch.
