Red Puna is a network of about 30 rural organisations representing roughly 1,200 families in the Puna and Quebrada of Jujuy. Since 1998 it has run the Cambalache y Trueque, a barter fair where producers from communities up to 400 km apart swap food, seeds and textiles. Its 27th edition was held in Maimará on 11 to 12 April 2026.
Red Puna belongs to the Movimiento Nacional Campesino Indígena Somos Tierra (MNCI) and the Mesa Agroalimentaria Argentina. It also runs a weaving collective of women that has sold textiles through fair trade since 1995. The 2025 fair was cancelled for the first time because travel had become too expensive.
