Resilient Lismore is a community-led organisation running disaster recovery and resilience programs across the Northern Rivers of NSW, from an office in South Lismore. Since the 2022 floods it has repaired homes, coordinated volunteers, connected people with aid, and helps communities prepare for future disasters.
Its programs include Repair to Return home repairs, a Building Advisory Support Service for people in the Resilient Homes Program, support and wellbeing services, and a free tool library. Projects include Disaster Ready Together, community outreach surveys and the Northern Rivers Community Resilience Alliance, plus workshops on tools and evacuation planning. It has deployed volunteers more than 14,000 times.
