Since 1998
Richmond Landcare is a non-profit, community-led Landcare network formed in 1998 to support Landcare across the Richmond River catchment in northern NSW, based in Alstonville. It supports new and established local Landcare groups, promotes good land and water management, and works with landholders to protect regional biodiversity.
The network is run by a committee of representatives from its member groups and works in partnership with local environment organisations and councils. It runs projects including nature-based solutions work, and advocates for the catchment through the North Coast Regional Landcare Network and Landcare NSW, including support for a proposed Richmond River Commissioner.
