Where change takes root · backbone support for Northern Rivers changemakers
- Community and Voice
Seed Northern Rivers, formerly Mullum S.E.E.D., is a network of changemakers, organisations and community groups working to regenerate the environment and build resilience in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Based at the Gardens Eco-Hub in Mullumbimby, it acts as a backbone organisation, giving grassroots initiatives auspicing, governance help, mentoring and digital tools.
Seed Northern Rivers has been running for more than 15 years and has over 30 member groups. Its 6.9-acre Gardens Eco-Hub is home to several grassroots organisations. It runs a Giving Circle that funds local grants and a Changemakers Hub, and supports regional collaborations such as the Northern Rivers Changemaker Collective and the Northern Rivers Regenerative Food System Coalition. It reports $8 million distributed to auspiced initiatives.
