A national land trust based in South Royalton, Vermont, that works with communities to keep farmland out of speculative markets. Through local Agrarian Commons, it gives next-generation farmers secure, affordable, long-term access to land.

Each Agrarian Commons is a community land-holding entity governed by farmers, community members and Agrarian Trust, with the land permanently removed from commodity markets so farmers can run independent farms that serve their communities. The Trust reports 10 commons across 8 states and more than 400 acres secured, and supports projects such as a land rematriation effort. It also shares learning resources and a Commons Network map.
