CADIF KENYA

CADIF Kenya (Community Aid Development Fund International) is a community-based nonprofit in Kisumu, working with low-income communities around the Lake Victoria Basin. Its recent work focuses on permaculture, regenerative agriculture, climate resilience and youth, including a community learning lab for training and mentoring young people in sustainable food systems.

CADIF began with a mission of sustainable social and economic development in poor areas of the lake region, working with youth, women and vulnerable children on health, sanitation, environmental management, literacy and small loans. More recently it has set up an agroecology living lab, which has added mushroom growing.
