Works locally
- seed swap
- seed sharing
- urban gardening
- natural farming
Each year the Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) opens its doors so the community can share seeds, saplings and stem cuttings. The 2026 round ran from 9 to 30 September and was followed by a community programme on herbs and seeds on 3 October 2026. It is part of CAP's long-running natural farming and grow-your-own-food work.
CAP has also hosted a Seed Festival and Conference on seed security and sovereignty in Malaysia (22 to 24 Nov 2022, about 100 participants).
