Common Ground Project is a social enterprise running a regenerative farm at Freshwater Creek, near Geelong in Victoria, on Wadawurrung Country. It works to restore soil life and ecosystem health while growing healthy, affordable food, and offers training and jobs in farming and hospitality to people facing disadvantage.
At its heart is a half-hectare market garden, fed with compost from kitchen scraps and green manures. Programs include on-farm education, school holiday days, a farm internship and Staying Grounded, a training and employment program for people in the Geelong region. It sells veg boxes and produce at local markets, offers catering and seasonal community feasts, and hosts events, farm tours and volunteer days.
