Comunidad de Paz de San José de Apartadó

Since 1997 families in the hills above Apartadó have declared themselves neutral in Colombia's armed conflict, farming cacao and food collectively and documenting every threat and abuse in public 'constancias'. In June 2025 the Colombian president publicly apologised to the community, and its site continued to post constancias on threats into 2026.
