Fighters for Peace

Former fighters from Lebanon's 1975 to 1990 civil war, who once fought on opposing sectarian and political sides, now work side by side. They send mixed pairs of ex-combatants into schools, youth clubs and universities, run walking tours of former front lines such as Ain al-Remmaneh, and hold dialogue, theatre and exhibition work. They also support people leaving armed groups.

The group describes itself as the only organisation in Lebanon uniting former civil war combatants. It also works with Palestinians, Syrian refugees and families of the disappeared. In August 2026 Qantara reported it is building community-level dialogue in southern Lebanon.
