Findhorn Ecovillage
A spiritual community and living laboratory in northern Scotland
- Home and Livelihood
- Community and Voice
Ecovillage Findhorn, at The Park near Forres in Moray, Scotland, is the UK's largest intentional community. For more than 60 years it has been a spiritual centre and a living laboratory for eco-building, renewable energy and natural water treatment. The Findhorn Foundation, a Scottish charity within the community, runs programs such as Experience Week, workshops and free online meditations.
The Findhorn community was co-founded by Eileen Caddy, and its core practices are inner listening, co-creation with nature and love in action. Visitors can take an ecovillage tour, join Experience Week or other residential programs that include accommodation and meals, or attend conferences and workshops. The Foundation offers bursaries and payment plans, a free weekday online meditation and twice-monthly Seeds of Light calls, and in 2026 was granted Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council.
