Glencree is a peace and reconciliation centre in a former military barracks in the Wicklow Mountains, founded in 1974 in response to the conflict in Northern Ireland. It runs dialogue between communities across the island and Britain, mediation and women's leadership training, youth programmes such as NextGen4Peace, and Glencree Welcomes Refugees, along with an annual interfaith German Remembrance Day at the nearby war cemetery.
