Since 1895
The International Cooperative Alliance unites, represents and serves cooperatives worldwide from its global office in Brussels. Founded in 1895, it has more than 330 member organisations in 106 countries and is the guardian of the Statement on the Cooperative Identity.
The ICA is one of the oldest non-governmental organisations. Its members are national and international cooperative bodies across agriculture, banking, consumer goods, fisheries, health, housing, insurance, industry and services. It works through four regional offices, eight global sectoral organisations and several committees and networks, and represents a movement of around 3 million cooperatives and 1 billion cooperative members.
