PORET is a community-based organisation at Chaseyama in the low-lying, semi-arid part of Chimanimani District, eastern Zimbabwe, promoting agroecology it describes as permaculture in action. Its Chaseyama Permaculture Club has more than 1,600 members across 68 villages, and it runs village tree nurseries, holistic soil and water management with livestock, a learning centre, a kindergarten and a youth football tournament that teaches agroecology.
A 2024 partner report published by Weltfriedensdienst in March 2026 describes PORET helping three villages become eco-villages, building stone dams and seepage pits that harvested over 12 million litres of water, and training 108 people in water and soil management, with a permaculture course and water tanks planned for 2025.
