Reconciliation Australia
The lead body for reconciliation in Australia
- Community and Voice
Reconciliation Australia is an independent not-for-profit and the lead body for reconciliation in Australia. It equips partners to take actions that advance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander self-determination, through the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) program, National Reconciliation Week and education programs.
Its work includes Narragunnawali, which supports schools and early learning services; the Indigenous Governance Program and Indigenous Governance Awards; resources for community truth-telling; policy and research; and the Australian Reconciliation Barometer, which tracks progress on reconciliation. It also gives guidance on Acknowledgement of Country and Welcome to Country.
