A project of ReCommon that adapts the community land trust model to help communities acquire and care for land regeneratively. Land is held by a nonprofit and leased to local, bioregionally organised groups, with permaculture planning and shared governance built in.

In the Regenerative Community Land Trust model, local communities form bioregional nodes, each its own autonomous land trust, governed by a five-part stakeholder system. Members choose land to buy, the nonprofit acquires it and passes it to a local organisation, and members lease it while nodes look after lease compliance. A Commons Credit is proposed to separate land investment from ownership and use. The project appears to be at an early stage.
