Repair Café Aotearoa New Zealand

Repair Café Aotearoa New Zealand supports the country's network of Repair Cafés: free pop-up events where volunteer fixers repair people's broken things. It works under Repair Network Aotearoa Trust, a registered charity building a culture of repair and reuse, and the network grew from 15 Repair Cafés in 2021 to more than 70.

The trust helps people find a Repair Café near them, supports new ones to start, teaches repair skills and backs local repair businesses. It also advocates for the Right to Repair and for mandatory product stewardship, so products are made to last and be fixed, linking repair to waste reduction and climate justice.
