Taroona Neighbourhood Garden started in 2007 with 55 individual plots, communal raised beds and a herb garden, run by a volunteer committee. It hosts the regular Taroona Crop Swap, where neighbours trade homegrown produce, plants, seeds and garden supplies; Crop Swap #40 in May 2026 included a free bokashi composting workshop.
