Elkana is a membership association that has worked with Georgian farmers since 1994 on organic and agroecological farming and rural tourism. Its Seed Ark farm in Samtskhe-Javakheti multiplies endemic wheats such as Dika and Chelta along with local legumes and vegetables. With the Czech seed library Semínkovna it set up a network of 13 community seed libraries in schools, a public library and family farms.
Its 2024 report lists 31 full members from seven regions, work with about 2,000 farmers, offices in Tbilisi, Akhaltsikhe and Kutaisi, and 61 producers holding its agroecological mark. The seed library network in Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti reached about 900 people in 2025, including about 300 seed borrowers and more than 100 seed donors.
