Carbon Creative

Carbon Creative is a First Nations owned creative agency in Brisbane, founded in 2006 by Wayne Denning, a Birri and Guugu Yimidhirr man. It began as Carbon Media to showcase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture and lift First Nations representation in mainstream media. Today it runs communications, design and behaviour-change campaigns for government, not-for-profit and corporate clients.

Carbon Creative's early work included Letterbox, described as Australia's first Indigenous children's television series, and in 2013 it became the first Australian production company to work with Sesame Street. More recent work includes a youth mental health campaign with headspace and COVID-19 safety and vaccination campaigns for the Australian Government. It works from Bowen Hills in Brisbane and Surry Hills in Sydney.
