Since 1969
Queensland Conservation Council is an independent, community-based organisation in South Brisbane and the peak body for Queensland's environmental movement, representing more than 50 community environment groups. Since 1969 it has worked to protect Queensland's nature, wildlife and communities.
Its campaigns include protecting koalas and greater gliders, ending deforestation, 30 by 30 protected areas, keeping a cableway out of Springbrook National Park, and climate action on clean energy, coal and methane. It publishes reports and submissions, runs webinars and events, and supports people to speak with their MPs.
