Volunteers and neighbours stock, clean and run two free sidewalk fridges and pantries at 20 W Armat St and 19 E High St in Germantown, open to anyone around the clock. Food comes from neighbours and partners including Northwest Mutual Aid Collective, Weavers Way Co-op and Philly Food Rescue, and the group is funded in the open through Open Collective.
The group describes itself as a mutual aid resource fighting hunger and food insecurity. Volunteer jobs include organising and cleaning the fridges, breaking down boxes, picking up donations and grocery shopping. Recurring community contributions were still coming in through its Open Collective in November 2026.
