The Gold Coast Repair Café is run by the Gold Coast Tool Library at the Varsity Lakes Community Resource Centre in Queensland. Skilled volunteers fix household items people bring in, from clothing and electronics to toys, tools, kitchen gadgets and picture frames, and share repair skills along the way.
Sessions run on Saturdays several times a year. Entry is free, there is a kids' area, and owners bring any spare parts their item needs. The café is part of the worldwide Repair Café movement that began in Amsterdam in 2010.
