Since 1992
GreenFaith is an international multi-faith climate and environmental organisation based in New York City. It builds a worldwide movement of people of faith through local groups called Circles, campaigning against new fossil fuel projects and for a just transition and climate justice.
GreenFaith began in New Jersey in 1992 as Partners for Environmental Quality, started by Christian and Jewish faith leaders after the Rio Earth Summit. It now has regional work across North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe and Africa, with more than 100 local Circles. It offers training, campaigns and interfaith events, and supports loss-and-damage commitments for climate-vulnerable communities.
