Registered in Bishkek in 2003 after community-based tourism began in Kyrgyzstan in 2000, the association links 17 destination groups, each run by its own village and registered as a local NGO. The association handles marketing while families host guests in homestays and yurts and act as guides. Its 2026 programme includes tours to Song-Kol, Issyk-Kul and the Alay Mountains and local festivals such as the Kyzyl-Oi horse games.
