The Lower Blackwood Land Conservation District Committee works with farmers, local government and traditional owners on a community-based approach to the lower Blackwood catchment. Since about 2020 it has run the Regenerative Agriculture in Practice Program (RAPP) for grazing enterprises, covering soil health, grazing management, composting and whole-farm planning, with more than 40 farm enterprises in its first four years. It also hosts Talkin' After Hours, a free online hub and podcast on regenerative agriculture in the South West.
RAPP is supported by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River's Environmental Management Fund. In 2026 the LCDC ran a three-session Whole Farm Planning course with David Hardwick of Soil Land Food.
