Mathare community members set up this centre in 2014 in one of Nairobi's largest informal settlements. It records rights abuses and runs political education, legal support, cooperative economics and an Ecological Justice Campaign. In August 2026 it convened a Mathare People's Assembly with delegates from all six wards.
