Open Collective
Transparent money tools and fiscal hosting for collectives worldwide
- Home and Livelihood
- Community and Voice
Open Collective is an online platform for managing money transparently, used by open-source projects, mutual aid groups and grassroots communities around the world. Groups without their own legal entity can join a fiscal host, which holds their funds and handles accounting, so they can raise and spend money in the open.
The platform is stewarded by the Open Finance Consortium, a non-profit that aims to keep it community owned. Fiscal hosts on the platform include Open Source Collective (US), Open Collective Europe (Brussels), Gift Collective (New Zealand), Social Change Nest (UK) and Raft Foundation (US). More than 10,000 collectives use it, and it has managed over $40 million.
