Since 1985
Permaculture in New Zealand (PiNZ) is a national permaculture organisation founded on 4 November 1985, one of the oldest in the world. It works to make permaculture accessible to everyone in Aotearoa by supporting learning pathways, growing the community and its networks, and promoting permaculture practice.
PiNZ supports affiliated teachers to deliver the Permaculture Design Certificate and a Permaculture Diploma, with PDCs running in places such as Raglan, Matakana and Golden Bay. It holds hui with workshops, shares stories of permaculture in action, lists events and sends a monthly newsletter. Members join a nationwide network of practitioners.
