Rainforest Protectors Trust is a non-profit registered in Sri Lanka in 2017. It buys privately held primary and riverine forest next to the Sinharaja World Heritage rainforest and protects it permanently, holding about 30 acres so far. It funds community rangers, replants stream banks that feed Sinharaja's springs, and is setting up a Rainforest Conservation and Education Centre with a native plant nursery.

Its priority is a protected buffer zone and biodiversity corridor north of Sinharaja. In 2025 it bought a property on the route to Sinharaja's main entrance to become its first conservation and education centre, with a nursery for critically endangered native flora, a base for guardians and volunteers, and workshops for schoolchildren and nearby villagers. 2026 updates cover buying watershed land and replanting stream banks with local communities.
