ZIMSOFF was founded in 2002 and has about 12,000 smallholder farmers in four regional clusters. Members bulk up open-pollinated seed, add value to their produce and run seed and food festivals where farmers exchange indigenous seeds; it took part in February 2026 parliamentary dialogues on proposed seed law changes.
