Biodynamic Federation Demeter International

The international umbrella body for biodynamic farming, supporting member organisations and certifying farms, processors and traders to the Demeter Biodynamic Standard. More than 7,000 biodynamic farmers work about 250,000 hectares in 63 countries.

The Federation formed in 2020 when Demeter-International (founded 1997) joined with the International Biodynamic Association. It protects the Biodynamic and Demeter trademarks, sets the international standard through its Members' Assembly, supports research and training for farmers and advisors, and advocates for sustainable farming on issues such as GMOs, soil, climate and biodiversity.
