FNQ Community Exchange · Tableland LETS

A volunteer-run local exchange trading system across the Atherton Tablelands and Cairns. Members list offers and wants and trade in Bartles, a local unit named after Mount Bartle Frere, so nobody needs a perfect barter match. Regular trade days rotate between Atherton, Malanda and Cairns.

Members bring produce, garden goods, crafts and services to monthly trade events and record trades on trading sheets. The group also runs drop-off points across the north and appears at community events such as Eco Fiesta Cairns. The site reflects on ten years of the FNQ Community Exchange.
