Food Is Free started as a laneway share table in Ballarat in October 2014 and now runs a 24-hour Green Space with 50 garden beds at 212 Ripon Street South. About 70 volunteers keep produce, gardens and workshops going across four sites, including a multicultural garden with Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council. It is planning Grow To Give, an urban food farm and sustainability school.
