GEN Australia (Global Ecovillage Network Australia

GEN Australia is the Australian branch of the Global Ecovillage Network: a national network of ecovillages, Indigenous and intentional communities, co-housing groups, eco-projects, transition initiatives and aligned people and organisations. It educates, networks and supports regenerative living, from urban eco-neighbourhoods to rural ecovillages.

Its work includes education, gatherings and events, networking, advocacy, and consultancy for people starting an ecovillage. It keeps an Australia Ecovillage Map, a guide to creating an ecovillage and a solutions library, and works with First Nations communities, including a project in far north Queensland.
