The Potato Park covers 9,280 hectares in Pisac district and is run as a biocultural territory by five Quechua communities: Amaru, Chawaytire, Pampallacta, Paru Paru and Sacaca. They look after about 1,300 native potato varieties, working through the ayllu system and agrobiodiversity barter markets, with technical support from Asociación ANDES.
Information here comes from ANDES's own site and Andina's coverage quoting the Park's community president. Communal governance and barter are described there only at headline level, so details should be confirmed with the communities.
