Founded in 2014, it guides business owners through full or partial employee ownership transitions, helps secure capital, and prepares employees for ownership, so businesses stay open and local wealth stays local.
Project Equity was started by Hilary Abell and Alison Lingane. Its services cover exploring options, feasibility, transition planning, financing through its fund, and support for new employee owners. It also trains advisors through an EO ExitPro course and a Certified Employee Ownership Advisor program, works with economic developers on regional initiatives, and does public policy work.
