The Kenyan Peasants League (KPL) formed in 2016 after the WTO ministerial in Nairobi, bringing together peasant farmers, fisherfolk, pastoralists and consumers in clusters as Kenya's member of La Via Campesina. It runs seed festivals across the country, is building community seed banks and food co-ops for farmer groups, and campaigns against the corporate control of seed.
