Rede Ecovida de Agroecologia

Rede Ecovida is an agroecology network in southern Brazil, formally set up in 1998. It links 34 regional nuclei, around 436 family farming groups and about 2,848 families across more than 352 municipalities. Its participatory guarantee system lets farmers, consumers and partner groups certify organic produce together.

The network brings together family farmers, about 20 NGOs and consumers, and supports more than 120 ecological street markets and other sales channels. Its work covers participatory organic certification, agroforestry and extractivism, seeds and seedlings, local marketing circuits and gender. It publishes training materials, bulletins and handbooks, and holds a regular Encontro Ampliado (expanded gathering), the 12th held in 2023.
