Share Shed is a library of things that lends 350+ tools, appliances, camping, gardening and sewing items at low cost. Instead of one shop, it runs a weekly mobile service with pick-up points in Ashburton, Dartington, Ivybridge, Totnes, South Brent, Kingsbridge and Buckfastleigh. It reports 8,600+ loans since opening and over £535K saved by members.
A project of the charity Network of Wellbeing, started in 2017. Members reserve items online through Lend Engine and collect them at the weekly stops. Its plans include a skillshare programme, repair cafés and a ShareFest.
