Vision Bearerz is a youth group founded in 2017 by about a dozen young men from Mathare who left gang life. They run an urban farm and black soldier fly farming, offer sanitation services and mentoring, and provide lunches for more than 150 children each week. They aim to steer younger residents away from crime and hunger.
